The Founder
One founder. Thirty years of going the distance.
John founded his first start-up, Vention, Inc., at age 25 — and grew it into one of the largest e-business application development shops in the Southeast. Three decades later, he has been the force behind nearly a dozen ventures across technology and healthcare, from Bladder Health Network and EngageDX to Kallaco, CaseSherpa, and, most recently, Plainbox Studio.
He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of Mississippi and pursued doctoral studies at the University of Kansas. Spivey & Company is the culmination of that experience: a firm built to create and transform companies, not just advise them.
John has been married to his wife, Olga, for 36 years. They have four children and live in New Orleans, Louisiana.
